The finished client story
A bigger world. More enjoyable walks.
Max’s Angier K9 story follows confidence growing through exploration, public practice, and owner learning. His owner describes easier, more enjoyable walks with the familiar, goofy dog she loves.
What these sessions show
Does my dog actually know the command?
So, bracing against y leash pressure never ever does anything.
Why does my dog only listen when I'm pulling the leash?
Should I let my dog sniff before training?
What toy should I use to train my dog?
What happens in a first dog training session?
How do I teach my dog to make better choices?
What is the difference between come and let's go?
They make let's go and come the same thing and I don't that messes it up.
How does my dog know when he can stop?
Good boy, okay, so he's starting to get the release word.
Where should I train my dog?
How can I tell what my dog is feeling?
If you want to attach something to a verbal cue, you use something else that does cue them up, which in this case, I just did some body language.
When is it safe to let my dog off the leash?
Why does my dog react to how I stand?
How do I calm a stressed dog?
Why won't my dog listen when he is scared?
If he runs towards him excitedly, as an example, um, or if he like freaks out and runs away, well, he's on the flexi.
How many rules should my dog have?
What do I do right after correcting my dog?
Should my dog heel for the whole walk?
What level should an e-collar be set to?
Why does my dog behave differently at different times?
Should I pull my dog into position?

Recognize your own dog in this?
Most people who call us have already been told their dog is a lost cause, or that they should manage it and hope. We train dogs in Angier, Raleigh and across the Triangle, and we take the serious aggression and reactivity cases that other programs turn down.
How it works: tell us what your dog is actually doing. We tell you honestly whether we can help, including when the answer is no. If we can, you leave with a plan and a start date.
What you get back is a dog whose world gets bigger instead of smaller.
